This digital piece was created as a logo for Goddess, an event that celebrates the multifaceted identities of women of color students during my undergraduate years. The design centers on a portrait of a woman, with only half of her head depicted, symbolizing the openness and flow of creative expression. From the open head, I illustrated birds, music notes, flowers, and other symbolic elements, representing the diverse and vibrant voices present at the event—poetry, spoken word, and song.

The woman’s joyful expression reflects the freedom and empowerment experienced in moments of self-expression. The event's theme of green and yellow is woven throughout the design, emphasizing growth, vitality, and the richness of these identities. This piece embodies the celebration of creativity, joy, and the many forms of expression that make up the Goddess event.
